Inklusion von Menschen mit Behinderung – Kampf um Selbstbestimmung und Akzeptanz | Doku | SRF Dok
The inclusion of people with disabilities is more wishful thinking than reality. This is demonstrated by the stories of four people with disabilities who are taking their life and career dreams into their own hands, but who have to fight daily for their right to self-determination and acceptance. 🔔 Subscribe to SRF Dok now on YouTube 👉 https://www.youtube.com/srfdok?sub_co... 👉 Would you like to suggest a topic for us? Islam Alijaj, who has physical and speech disabilities, wants to be elected to the National Council. The nearly blind geologist Barbara Müller is fighting for a position as a university lecturer. David Mzee, a paraplegic, is fighting for a permanent position as a sports teacher, and Amir Gashi, who suffers from muscular dystrophy, is fighting for his international DJ career. They are people with disabilities who don't want anything or anyone to stop them from realizing their life and career dreams. In their view, their true handicap isn't their disability, but the lack of equality in society and the job market. What's going wrong here? And why do so many people struggle when people with disabilities insist on and demand self-determination? SRF "DOK" followed the film's protagonist and three other protagonists for almost two years and is now taking stock: Who of them achieved their seemingly unrealistic goals? Who didn't – and why not? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ▪ A film by François Loriol ▪ Camera: Dominic Hiss, Michael Gerber, Gery Gafner ▪ Sound: Daniel Rostetter, Remo Häberli, Torsten Goddon, Simon Manetsch ▪ Music: Amir Gashi/Livio Beroggi - "Das Hertz" ▪ Editing: Simon Keller ▪ Production: Monika Zingg ▪ Direction: Daniel Pünter © 2021 SRF NEW DOCUMENTARIES AND REPORTS EVERY WEEK ------------------------------------------------------------------------- 🔔 Subscribe to SRF Dok now on YouTube and activate the bell: https://www.youtube.com/srfdok?sub_co... 👇 More on the topic of documentaries & reportage can be found here: 👥 SRF Dok on Facebook: https://fb.com/srfdok 🎧 More stories to listen to: https://www.srf.ch/audio/themen/mensc... 👀 More documentaries on Play SRF: https://www.srf.ch/play/tv/themen/dokus ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Channel info: The SRF Dokus & Reportagen teams report factually, avoid scripted reality, and are committed to journalistic integrity.
