I Found Three Completely Different Sides of Metro Vancouver
Canada Day in Vancouver didn’t feel the same everywhere. In this video, I explored different parts of Metro Vancouver on Canada Day—from Richmond food courts, to FIFA fan energy in the city, and finally to the massive waterfront celebration at North Vancouver’s Shipyards District. What surprised me most was how different each place felt, even though they’re all just a short distance apart. Each location had its own energy, crowd, and atmosphere. Along the way, I also visited: Yaohan Centre in Richmond for food FIFA fan areas and public viewing energy in Vancouver Lonsdale Quay & Shipyards District in North Vancouver The Shipyards area is especially interesting—it used to be an industrial shipbuilding site, but today it’s one of the most active waterfront public spaces in North Vancouver. And throughout the day, I also caught moments of FIFA games and came back home to my cats, who always make the day feel calm again. What I realized is that Vancouver isn’t just one version of itself—it changes completely depending on where you are. 📍 Locations: Richmond (Yaohan Centre) Vancouver (FIFA fan areas / PNE) North Vancouver (Shipyards / Lonsdale Quay) 💬 Question: Where do you think Canada Day feels the most interesting—food spots, fan zones, or waterfront celebrations? ------------------------------------------------------------------ Let's be friends: ➜ INSTAGRAM: / itsjvf33 ➜ Get $25 when you join Wealthsimple: https://wealthsimple.com/invite/EJRSQW ➜ Check out my Rent Vs Buy calculator in Vancouver tool here: https://vancouverhomehub.ca/rent-buy-... ------------------------------------------------------------------- Camera I used in this video: DJI Osmo Pocket 3 Vlogging Camera: https://amzn.to/4dynQPw DJI Osmo Pocket 3 Creator Combo: https://amzn.to/4fM7fZT All music used in this video is by Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) and is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 License: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/...
