The Grand Strand

Hello everyone it's exciting to be back after a bit of a hiatus! Since the conclusion of The First Decade in December of 2025, I've taking it easy with songwriting; now, I'm proud to release the first single from what will become my 5th studio album. The Grand Strand is simpler and heavier than other recent songs, but its riffs match its lyrical content well. This contortion of the fairy tale of Jack and the Beanstalk is a great jumping off point for the upcoming album. Central album themes revolve around dregs of human civilization surviving in the belly of a great oceanic leviathan. I hope you enjoy! - Wollace Facebook: https://fb.watch/Ifjikconve/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/wollacewrai... Lyrics: Atop the seeds I’ve sown Reach vines from soils’ bile Safe from others’ eyes And breach the waves in the sky, To leave these fools behind I will be the one, the one who thrives Breaching (Stay here if you wish) Plunging (Swim till your gills grow) So when will my one lifeline force the jaws wide Leaves shade fruit of severed lives Somewhere I won’t be the same And pretend to be happy with the needs of those Just like me Grow the beanstalk, breath sea Anywhere but here Grand Strand, force these jaws wide Grow through lungs of severed lives Somewhere I won’t be the same And pretend to be happy with the needs of those Nothing like me Climb with purpose invoked with contempt Shed thoughts of skin Dread the empathy, mended pieces to let you breathe again It costs nothing, but your conscience, to help each one begin But remember to breathe deeply as waves fold in
