Two policemen shot and killed, prisoner escapes

A manhunt is underway for an unknown number of suspects who shot and killed two police officers near Roodepoort, west of Johannesburg. The officers - who were stationed at the Florida Police Station - were transporting a business robbery suspect from court to Boksburg prison when they came under fire. Two firearms belonging to the officers were taken - while their vehicle was found dumped meters away from the crime scene.
