В Академії та Інституті СБУ відбувся спільний випуск молодих офіцерів

The National Academy of the Security Service of Ukraine and the SBU Institute held a joint graduation ceremony for young officers who received their first ranks of lieutenant. Acting Head of the Service, Major General Yevheniy Khmara, and Deputy Head of the SBU, Brigadier General Andriy Tupikov, presented diplomas and congratulated the graduates on their graduation. “The enemy’s goal is to overthrow our state. The Security Service of Ukraine, together with other components of the Defense Forces, is doing everything to prevent this. That is why it is so important to unite, work in a coordinated and effective manner. Exchange experience and quickly adapt to new threats. This is exactly what I expect from you,” said Yevheniy Khmara. He emphasized that today the Service’s employees perform combat missions at the front, as well as protect citizens inside the state. In particular, the SBU systematically exposes enemy agents, prevents terrorist attacks, daily disrupts the plans of Russian special services, repels their cyberattacks, and investigates thousands of criminal cases. “SBU fighters are destroying the occupiers on an industrial scale on the front line. Since the start of the full-scale war, we have hit billions of dollars worth of equipment. And billions more will fly into the air at Russian refineries, factories and military facilities in the rear,” the acting Head of the Service added. According to him, such strikes should be systematically intensified. That is why the Service needs young officers with high motivation, a willingness to look for new approaches and a desire to work for results. “So go to service with a thirst to undermine the enemy’s barbaric potential. Your motivation, your drive – this is the key to success! I believe that the experience of older generations mixed with your energy will give a new impetus to the work of the Service,” said the acting Head of the SBU Yevheniy Khmara in conclusion. Deputy Head of the SBU Andriy Tupikov also congratulated the cadets on their graduation and noted that this event symbolically coincided with the Constitution Day of Ukraine. “The generation that adopted the Constitution has fulfilled its duties with dignity. Now, gentlemen officers, is your time. Your time not to retreat and not to fail. Today you are active participants in the fight against the enemy, and tomorrow you will determine this fight. Tomorrow you will be in the leadership of the Service and the state, and it will depend on you how our country will develop. What kind of a legacy we will pass on to our children. I wish you not to doubt and move forward, to believe in the Service and in our state,” Andriy Tupikov emphasized. During the event, those present also honored the fallen Heroes with a minute of silence. Among them was the sniper of the SBU “Alpha” Hero of Ukraine Denys Volochayev, who died in 2019 while performing a combat mission. The course of current graduates bore his name throughout their entire training period. Therefore, the special forces officer's relatives also congratulated the cadets of the SBU Academy and wished them success in their professional careers.
