I've been pretty burnt out this year which is why there's been no videos, but I promise I'm alive! I played this boss fight before the first patch, and it was absolutely brutal... I think this song is the only reason I was able to get through it. When I saw those lyrics come up on screen, I knew what I had to do. ...But this time was different, I decided not to do the vocals myself. Chris' voice instantly popped up in my head when I heard this song in game, so the moment I beat the chapter I asked if he'd want to do this with me (he's not a Deltarune guy so I wasn't worried about spoiling him lol). That vocal melody is not easy to sing, so huge props to him for pulling it off! I had room for a guest guitar solo in this one, so that's where Nick comes in! Chris and Nick are in an original pop punk band called Dec/Ember (unrelated to Dess Holiday... but I think she would like them), and they're currently putting out singles for their 2nd album! Definitely check them out if you pop punk and alt rock. Nick's a killer guitar player so it was great having him on this as well! Arranging this cover, I figured out pretty quick that this is just a Dragonforce song in disguise, so of course I leaned into it.
