Moto Guzzi V100 vs V85 TT — What Riding the New One Teaches You About the Old One

Fresh off ~150 miles on the Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello S, I collected my V85 TT from its first service at A&D Motorcycles in Denbigh - hard not to compare. This isn't part of the main V100 review. This is ten minutes of unfiltered observation from the saddle of my own bike, straight after handing back the keys to Moto Guzzi's flagship. What does riding the new platform teach you about the old one? Quite a lot, as it turns out. It's straight into the riding differences: the 1st gear jolt behaviour on both bikes, size and feel, comparative comfort, engine performance and character, brakes, exhaust sound, and the fundamental difference between wet and dry clutch dynamics. I also talk about connection to the road — something the V85 TT does in a very particular way — and whether the V100's considerably more sophisticated platform adds to or dilutes that feeling. Two Moto Guzzis. Same DNA. Very different machines. 📍 Filmed in North Wales 🔧 V85 TT serviced by A&D Motorcycles, Denbigh #MotoGuzzi #MotoGuzziV85TT #V85TT #MotoGuzziV100 #V100Mandello #MandelloS #MotoGuzziComparison #WetClutch #DryClutch #MotorcycleReview #BikeReview #ItalianMotorcycles #MotorcycleLife #TheNorthWestRider #UKMotorcycling #PostRideThoughts #MotoGuzziService #NorthWales #Cheshire #MotorcycleComparison #RiderObservations #V100vsV85
