UMEÅ Flight Sports Day

Umeå Fallskärmsklubb arranged a flight sports day. Kind of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, but smaller. When stuff happen here in Sweden regarding aviation, then we have to go there! So we took the Piper Pa28 and flew from Skellefteå Airport (ESNS) to Umeå airport (ESNU) where they had the meeting. The flight took about an hour, mostly because we had to hold outside Täfteå (TAFTE). Who could have guessed that there was a lot of other planes going there? After a Perfect landing in Umeå we parked the airplane and had a look. They had a Slingsby aircraft that did some aerobatics, a Piper Pa28 from 1978 and a Cessna 182Q, A diesel driven Cessna that can fly for 11 hours on a tank. We also got to see some gliders, an experimental plane, a baloon, a lot of RC planes, and also a Blackwing 600RG. Wow, that was a beauty. The paint job and the carbon fiber really made it shine.
