Pakiusap - Joel Malit (Juan Silos Jr)

Now available for sale: individual title tablatures in pdf files. I arranged the fingerings of this piece in 1994 based only on an audio cassette tape by Juan Silos Jr. In the same year, I played it in some private and public schools around Cavite. In 1995, I also performed this piece and some other Kundiman pieces in some cities in Germany, Austria, and Belgium. I have forgotten this piece and never played for so many years...since 1997. This is the second time to record this piece since I first recorded the same piece in 1995. I'm just an amateur self-taught guitarist with no music education. (I'm a Fine Arts graduate and an Artist by profession). I transcribe all my Kundiman pieces by just hearing only the music and writing it in tablature. I don't use any music sheets for reference....just cassette tapes and CDs. So, all my arrangements are surely different from the arrangements of professionals. The guitar I am using here is a vintage japanese guitar made by luthier Yusuke Kyo probably in the 1940s - 1950s. This very rare guitar came from Japan and was sold to the Philippines in 2011 as junk. The label inside is written in Kanji text with 2 signature stamps in red ink, "N-12" . "0883". It has a varying sound each day and is very sensitive to temperature and humidity due to its extremely thin soundboard (about one and a half millimeter only). It is also very difficult to put in tune, but once it is in the right condition..wow!!....the soundboard really vibrates to the sound of its weird trebles and booming bass.....I can feel it even inside my heart. Thanks to my friend Mr. Mario Mendoza (YouTube:marmendoza8) for giving me some copies of mp3. He is the one who convinced me to get back to my guitar playing (more or less 4 years ago).
