Kenzo Hiroki, a close acquaintance of both men and a specialist in water issues, speaks about His Majesty's research approach as follows: Professor Emeritus Kenzo Hiroki, National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies: "His Majesty views various global issues and matters through water, or through water as a lens. For example, the problem of children who cannot attend elementary school because they have to walk for hours every day to fetch water." Regarding King Alexander... The King of the Netherlands said, 'It's close, let's walk to the United Nations Headquarters,' and His Majesty replied, 'Then let's walk together.'
