However, there's a catch: the outer (non-galvanized) sill was damaged during tire mounting—surface corrosion has already appeared. This is important to address promptly. The inside of the sill, thanks to the preservative, is clean. This confirms that proper preventative maintenance works. The myth that "Chinese cars rust even before winter" was not true in this case.
