Hey, bass heads. Today I’m experimenting again, and instead of some DnB (Drum and Bass), I brought you a chunk of fat Breaks, Breakbeat, and Electro. What’s the context? I kept putting this mix off for a long time because I can see that the algorithms digest everything way worse if it’s not Drum and Bass. And the previous one, by the way, was Dubstep. If you haven’t checked it out yet, give it a listen — there are a lot of solid mashups and interesting stylistic ideas in there. Now about the Breaks. Long story short, I spent a year and a half building this selection, trying to squeeze in all the most interesting subgenres, and in the end I recorded it almost live, with mistakes, no retakes, and no practice runs.
