Bali - Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park - Indonesia Travel 2024

After our travel to Malang, next was Bali. Bali is a province of Indonesia and the westernmost of the Lesser Sunda Islands and is the only Hindu-majority province in Indonesia, with 86.9% of the population adhering to Balinese Hinduism. It is renowned for its highly developed arts, including traditional and modern dance, sculpture, painting, leather, metalworking, and music. Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park is home to some of the most iconic cultural landmarks in Bali, including the magnificent Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue, which stands tall at 121 meters and is a representation of the Hindu god Vishnu and his mount, the Garuda bird. This is a popular tourist destination and attraction located at Ungasan, Badung on the island of Bali, Indonesia, about 10–15 minutes drive from Ngurah Rai International Airport. Our tour for the day was mostly in Denpasar but we stayed in Ubud. This was one of our best accommodation of the tour with a villa. Ubud is a town on the Indonesian island of Bali in Ubud District, located amongst rice paddies and steep ravines in the central foothills of the Gianyar regency. Promoted as an arts and culture centre, it has developed a large tourism industry.
