ITAMBU Band of Rabaul 'Ia Encalin' 1989

This is the second release from the original ITAMBU which was a part-time band made up of lead guitarist John Warbat of Painim Wok and singer Leonard Kania of Kopex band. This original ITAMBU recorded real Tolai Rock sounds at Pacific Gold Studios which was synonymous with Warbat's guitar works and Leno Tiriman's acoustic drums.After Pacific Gold Studios shut down,the Kania brothers released their Chm's version of Itambu which was basically dominated by keyboard and other computerized sounds. This song "IaEncalin" is taken from this second ITAMBU album titled "Una Laun Damana". Two musicians appearing on the album cover above (from left to right) are,John Warbat and Leonard Kania.
