VMIX REPLAY [Part TWO]: A DEDICATED OPERATOR VIEW

In last week’s show, we covered the basic concepts behind vMix’s REPLAY functionality, and showed how it can be used by a single operator that is also switching the production. We also hinted at some of the more advanced replay capabilities found in vMix. On today’s show we will explore these advanced features in detail, approaching vMix Replay from the perspective of a Dedicated Replay Operator. We will be using the X-Key’s XKE-64 Replay Controller along with an XK-16 to demonstrate a range of functionality: doing replay’s without creating events; creating and editing events; tagging and organizing events; and creating and exporting “melts” of the action for use both during and post-game.
