Qodosen SR-286 vs XHDATA D-808 vs Tecsun PL-368 on VOA MW signal from Sao Tomé 1530 kHz

A short comparison between the Qodosen SR-286, XHDATA D-808 and Tecsun PL-368 on a distant MW signal. This is VOA from São Tomé, 3800 kilometres or 2400 miles from my location in Johannesburg, South Africa. It is a powerful 600 kW transmitter. The Qodosen once again shows what a powerhouse it is for MW listening. The XHDATA D-808 has always been one of my favourite portable radios for MW, but the Qodosen simply plays in another league, it is clearer and much more stable. The PL-368 does not perform well at all. Bandwidth is at 4 kHz on the Qodosen and D-808, 3.5 kHz on the PL-368. I use the Tecsun AN-200 loop antenna in this comparison, on all three radios. Signal received on 5 April 2024, indoors, but with all electrical power to the house switched off. I turned off the main power switch to eliminate electrical noise interference from inside the house.
