Leah Washington and Joe Pugh, then just 17 and 18, were caught up in the catastrophic rollercoaster crash at Alton Towers, which left them both with life-changing injuries and resulted in Leah’s right leg having to be amputated. Yet despite the tragic circumstances, their relationship overcame the odds.
