Exploring Ardnamurchan Peninsula Most Westerly Point of Mainland Britain
We went to the Ardnamurchan Peninsula during some bad weather and explored some wild beaches. We like to visit the remote parts of Scotland to get away from people, capitalism, consumerism to help with our mental health. In other words to help remember what is real and to fight against becoming consumerist drones feeding the system. Then we made a video so that when we are back in urban living with the system attempting to assimilate us we can watch our video so we don't forget and we don't become assimilated. You can watch too if you so wish and I hope that this goes a little way in helping you too. During our visit to mainland Britian's most westerly point Storm Brendan happened and hit the west coast of Scotland with wind speeds of up to 80mph. I certainly had fun attempting to take some photographs when the storm hit Ardnamurchan Point. I didn't attempt any video of this though as it seemed too difficult. We also had some great hail showers that made you feel alive. I must remember to try and video these events as they're interesting. Easy to say now I'm at home but those horizontal hail showers penetrated my camera bag wetting some of my gear. Next time I will give it a go, I will try to capture the hail showers and 80mph winds on video. Some of these photographs can be found on our Instagram pages / britishcoastline or / liz_outandabout .

A geographical extreme that's tricky to get to PLUS my favourite beach. All in one glorious weekend!
