Clawhammer Banjo 101 from tRp
Clawhammer style banjo is a technique that - like the banjo itself - evolved from West African musicians and griots, the experiences of enslaved Black Americans, and the adoption and adaptations by Americans of many backgrounds. We not only acknowledge, but celebrate the ingenuity and resilience of the people who developed this beautiful, profoundly American, and deeply complex tradition. There are many, many ways to play the banjo--please show us yours!
