Belfast Sewers Project

The Belfast Sewers Project was set up to give The Belfast sewer system a much needed upgrade. Bad weather could mean significant flooding of residential areas due to lack of capacity in the sewer network. Additionally, overflow from the sewers into the river Langan caused pollution during heavy rainfall. The new upgraded sewer system has played an important role in helping urban redevelopment in the city as less chance of flooding means businesses are now more likely to invest. The project has also helped to improve water quality in the river. To learn more about the Belfast Sewers Project click here: https://www.ice.org.uk/what-is-civil-...
