I played “Kinetic Energy,” by Patricia Islas, as my two-mallet piece for all four of my college auditions. It was a huge blast to practice, and I also played it for UIL Region Solo & Ensemble and as the opener for my senior recital! Decided to play this again so I could upload it on YouTube. It’s not the best run, but I’m glad to have a recording of this piece on YouTube for anyone to see.
