Gooderham was challenging!

The 2026 Off-road Ontario Gooderham XC on the Task Force property. The weather was perfect for the morning of the event but there were lots of muddy spots because rain water from the previous few days gets trapped in solid rock basins and can't drain out. This was the second year for this race and my first time. It's a really great course but I (and several others) had some difficulties in some spots. The many exposed roots and rocks just below the surface of the trail sections were tiring to ride at race pace so I didn't have a surplus of energy while attempting some of the most challenging sections and made mistakes as a result. It was a great event though and I really liked it.
