Lord of Carnarvon's Jigg ~ Wittman

Lord of Carnarvon's Jigg is an English Country Dance first published by Playford in 1651. It is a proper four couple longways dance. It was interpreted by Wittman in 1986. Found in "The Playford Assembly". As far as I can tell this differs from Sharp's interpretation only in that Wittman uses a "back to back" in B1 while Sharp uses a "gypsy". It isn't a jig by the modern definition of the word. The animation plays at 120 counts per minute normally, but the first time through the set the dance is slowed down so people can learn the moves more readily. Men are drawn as rectangles, women as ellipses. Each couple is drawn in its own color, however the border of each dancer indicates what role they currently play so the border color may change each time through the minor set. https://www.upadouble.info/
