Pierwsze Kowalstwo Grube Złodziejstwo Wracamy do obozu - ODC11 - #Gothic 1 Remake

Gothic 1 Remake was developed by the Spanish studio Alkimia Interactive (based in Barcelona). The project was developed under the auspices of publisher THQ Nordic, which currently holds full rights to the Gothic franchise. Interestingly, although the original creators from the German studio Piranha Bytes were not involved in the production, the new developers invited key players from the past to collaborate. Kai Rosenkranz, the composer of the original Gothic, is responsible for the game's soundtrack, reinterpreting his iconic songs and creating new arrangements. It's also worth mentioning that the full Polish dubbing was provided by PLAION Polska, with support from Ryszard Chojnowski, among others. Thanks to this, the game will feature many of the voice actors known from the legendary 2001 original. --------------- 1. A Complete Reset After a Disastrous Demo (2019) In December 2019, THQ Nordic released the so-called Gothic: Playable Teaser – a short tech demo – on Steam. Fans of the series absolutely slammed it for its overly colorful graphics, talkative Nameless Hero, and a combat system reminiscent of For Honor. The publisher listened to the community: the entire project was scrapped, Alkimia Interactive was founded, and development began anew, this time with a dark, faithful-to-the-original atmosphere. 2. A Playable Prologue as... a Completely Different Character Released in early 2025, the public demo (Nyras Prologue) surprised players. Instead of taking on the role of Nameless Hero, players controlled Nyras – a convict who arrived in the Colony shortly before the protagonist. Fans of the original will recognize him well: in the 2001 original, Nyras was a member of the Brotherhood Camp who went mad in the swamps. 3. Jacek Mikołajczak returns as the Nameless One This is crucial news for Polish fans. After many months of uncertainty, it has been officially confirmed that Jacek Mikołajczak has once again lent his voice to the Nameless One. The cast also includes other veterans, including Adam Bauman (Diego) and Mirosław Zbrojewicz (Świstak). 4. Inspired by... the third game Although Alkimia Interactive is remaking the original Gothic, project director Reinhard Pollice revealed that while developing the artistic style, the team intensively studied the official artbook for... Gothic 3. They considered it "the most comprehensive documentation of the unique style" of this universe, which helped them translate the angular 3D models from 2001 into the modern realities of Unreal Engine 5. 5. The Most Challenging Character to Design The developers revealed that the character who presented them with the most graphical challenges was Diego. His iconic appearance (including his distinctive mustache and facial features) was very difficult to translate into a photorealistic style without losing its original character. Interestingly, when designing the unique faces of the colony's inhabitants, the developers were inspired, among other things, by the faces of famous cosplayers from the series. 6. Tattoos with Meaning in the Swamp Camp At the Brotherhood (Sect) Camp, each Guru and Novice has unique tattoos. To ensure these designs weren't random, Alkimia Interactive hired a professional tattoo artist. He designed the entire "visual language," allowing the tattoos to reflect the hierarchy within the camp and the level of devotion to the Dreamer. More Content: The remake is expected to be approximately 10 to 20 hours longer than the original. The developers have expanded side quests, added new world traversal mechanics, developed the orc culture, and allowed for armor upgrades, which were not possible in the original. #gothic #gothic1remake #risen #eldenring #piranhabytes
