East Baton Rouge Mayor-President Sid Edwards talks about winter weather, resources

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — East Baton Rouge Parish Mayor-President Sid Edwards hosted a briefing to talk about the city’s comprehensive preparations for the anticipated severe weather conditions. Louisiana is forecasted to have extremely cold weather with heavy snow expected beginning Tuesday morning. Edwards and members of his staff, the Baton Rouge Police and the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office stressed safety. They asked residents to stay home if possible and to help get the word on on locations residents can seek shelter in the cold. Those locations include: Jewel J. Newman Community Center Dr. Leo S. Butler Community Center Charles R.
