A sunny window, grow light, or bright outdoor shade can help prevent stretching. 🚿Watering: Let the soil dry completely before watering again. Succulents store water in their leaves, so overwatering is one of the easiest ways to cause root rot. 🪏Soil: Use a very gritty, fast-draining succulent mix. A chunky mix with pumice, perlite, lava rock, or other mineral grit helps keep roots from staying wet too long. 🪴Potting: Always use a pot with drainage holes. Terracotta or breathable pots can be helpful. 🌈Variegated Succulent Care: Variegated succulents grow more slowly and can be more sensitive than fully green plants. They need enough light to keep their color, but the lighter variegated areas can sunburn faster, so acclimate slowly. ❣️ Imported Succulent Tip: If your succulents arrive bare-root or stressed from shipping, give them time to settle before heavy watering.
