Sons of the desert. (Tarwa N Tiniri)

Thijs travels with the band Tarwa n Tiniri from Ouarzazate to the desert to bring provisions and blankets to nomads who, due to drought, can no longer sustain their livestock. The members of the Moroccan band Tarwa N Tiniri (Sons of the Desert) are Berbers. They grew up in the Sahara and moved with their parents to the city for the opportunity to attend school and build their futures. Moving to the city was a significant sacrifice for their parents, leaving behind the freedom of nomadic life and breaking with their people's traditions.
