Nagzira Tiger reserve was notified as 46th tiger reserve of India on 12th December 2013. It’s 5th tiger reserve of Maharashtra. 40 wildlife sanctuaries in Maharashtra. Nagzira wildlife sanctuary is located between Bhandara-Gondia district of Maharashtra.Nearest National Highway is NH-53. Nagzira Wildlife Sanctuary is locked in the arms of nature and adorned with a picturesque landscape, luxuriant vegetation and serves as a living outdoor museum to explore and appreciate nature. Area of Nagzira is 152.81 square kilometres (59.00 sq. miles) Hemis National Park Ladakh is biggest national park in india with Area (in km2) 4400 India's first national park was established in 1936 as Hailey National Park, now known as Jim Corbett National Park, Uttarakhand. NNTR has connectivity with the major tiger reserves in Central India like Kanha and Pench tiger reserve in Madhya Pradesh. There is direct road connectivity from Nagpur and nearby cities in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh States of India. So you can go by car or by Government buses. For Flight, Nagpur is the nearest airport which is connected with all airports in India. You can reach Nagpur airport from any airport in India. Mahabaleshwar is 118 kilometers away from Nagpur and 952 kilometers away from Mumbai. Nagpur railway station is nearest to Nagzira.
