LIVE NEWS: US-Iran ceasefire talks, Venezuela earthquakes, Supreme Court rulings & more top stories

Iran again launched drone and missile attacks targeting Bahrain and Kuwait on Sunday following new US airstrikes against the Islamic Republic, and threatened a “complete halt” in negotiations to end the war if Washington continues its attacks. Efforts to reopen the Strait of Hormuz without Iran’s oversight has sparked days of crossfire. A multinational maritime body overseen by the U.S. Navy said Saturday it would expand a route near Oman for inbound and outbound traffic. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Sunday reiterated the claim that Tehran must govern the strait to the Persian Gulf that once carried a fifth of the world’s oil and natural gas. The death toll continues to rise in Venezuela after a pair of back-to-back powerful earthquakes last week. At least 1,450 deaths have been confirmed with nearly 70,000 people reported missing at one point, although it's unclear how many of them have been located. The US Supreme Court will release additional opinions on Monday as the high court nears the end of its term. One of the mostly closely watched cases is that involving birthright citizenship. President Donald Trump attended the oral arguments earlier this year before the court, becoming the first sitting US president to do so.
