Famadi Sako was born in Western Guinea, from a family of drummers. When he was 17 years old, he became a drummer of the "Grand Ballet of Ivory Coast", and shortly later he became djembé soloist of "Ballet national de Côte d'lvoire". He played with world renowned djembé masters such as Mamady Keita. Famadi Sako settled in Munich in 1992, where he established a djembé school teaching Malinké traditional rhythms. He gives weekly lessons to groups of different skill levels and organizes regularly weekend workshops. He took part recently to courses and concerts in France, Belgium, Austria and Italy. Famadi Sako è originario della Guinea orientale, e proviene da una famiglia di percussionisti. A 17 anni è diventato membro del "Grand Ballet de Côte d'lvoire", e poco più tardi solista di djembé del "Ballet national de Côte d'lvoire". Ha suonato fin da giovane con i più grandi maestri percussionisti, tra cui Mamady Keita. Si è stabilito a Monaco di Baviera nel 1992, dove ha fondato una scuola in cui insegna ritmi tradizionali malinkè. Dà lezioni settimanali a vari gruppi, ed organizza regolarmente dei workshops nei fine settimana. Famadi Sako ha recentemente partecipato a dei corsi o concerti, in Francia, Belgio, Austria e Italia. Er hat mit weiteren großen Meistertrommlern gespielt, unter anderen Mamady Keita. Famadi Sako lebt seit 1992 in München wo er eine Schule für traditionelles Trommeln gründete. Er bietet regelmäßig wöchentliche Trommelkurse (Anfängers und Gewordene) und zusätzlich Trommelworkshops. Er hat Kurse und Konzerte in Frankreich, Belgien, Osterreich und Italien gegeben.
