Gwanak to end his life, but a meeting with a high school girl leads him to dream of a new life. The life and tears of Mr. Kim Ji-myeong, who lives as a rescue worker and a prison mental education instructor. Having drifted between orphanages, juvenile detention centers, and prisons until the age of twenty-nine, he lived as an orphan, a shoe shiner, and an ex-convict... a being abandoned by the world. With nothing but cold winds in the world and no hill to lean on, he goes to Mt. Gwanak clutching a suicide note. Before dying, he comes down to the foot of the mountain for a moment because he is hungry, and there he meets a pretty high school girl. His life reaches a turning point with this meeting with the high school girl, who affectionately calls him "Mister" despite his wretched and shabby appearance. After meeting his wife, Song Ki-soon (35), and the birth of his daughter, Haerim (16), a chance opportunity comes to him as he seeks a new life. He, who was making a living at the foot of Mt. Gwanak, received a request for rescue. The report stated that college students who had come for a camp were isolated in a rapid current and were in danger. Kim Ji-myeong and his colleagues rescued them using a chain, despite having no rescue equipment. It was the first satisfaction he felt in his life; he was simply happy to be able to do something for the world and for others. This is the real reason why Kim Ji-myeong (50) has lived his life guarding every corner of Mt. Gwanak until now. Now, having set out to rehabilitate inmates who are about to wear blue prison uniforms, he says: "I lived 30 years on all fours like a beast, and 20 years on two feet like a human being."
