John Deere Marvel-Schebler DLTX 53 Carburetor Rebuild

This carb is off my 36' A. An A in that era should have the DLTX-18 but this is universal. If you have a mid to late 40s A, SN 499000-583999, this is the right video for you. These carbs are all very similar and much of the process is the same whether or not you have an all fuel or gas carb. Be careful using the drill bits to not break them off inside or drill a passage larger than you should. Use plenty of heat, penetrating oil, and patience when disassembling to make sure you don't crack the stem or anything else.
