The discussion was attended by Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency Nusron Wahid, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Sudaryono, and Head of the Agency for the Acceleration of Poverty Alleviation Budiman Sudjatmiko. The gathering was held at the Joglo Gelanggang Inovasi dan Kreativitas (GIK) at Gadjah Mada University (UGM). Footage of the students storming the discussion stage went viral on social media. Initially, the gathering proceeded smoothly. Budiman even invited students to criticize him in the official forum. But suddenly, dozens of students rushed onto the stage. Some of them carried banners reading "UGM Rejects Traitors to Reform" and "UGM Rejects Sycophants of the Regime." The situation escalated to the point where the three state officials were immediately evacuated. The evacuation process also circulated on social media. Several students were seen attempting to block the officials who claimed they wanted to discuss matters with them. One student criticized the three officials for allegedly running away. "They said they wanted to discuss matters, but instead they ran away," shouted the student on Monday (June 15, 2026).
