Smirdex Abrasives Industry

Smirdex is one of the leading manufacturing companies of coated abrasives in South-Eastern Europe. Located in Nothern Greece, at an area of 32.000m2, of which 16.000m2 are built, Smirdex produces coated abrasives of high quality since 1981. Thanks to the continuous efforts for improvement of its specialized staff, the company has managed to grow bigger and meet the demanding standards of the industry. Today the company exports to more than 50 countries worldwide. 80% of its production is sent abroad whilst 20% is distributed in the Greek market. Our major goal is to encounter the evolving needs of modern professionals and therefore we constantly invest in research and development. Recently, we have designed and built up a second production plant. This covers an area of 4.000m, where jumbo rolls of 1420mm are produced. Its capacity is 24.000m per shift. High standards of quality control throughout the manufacturing process are ascertained by sophisticated, on-site electronic systems whilst the continuous product evaluation ensures the highest quality according to the industry's standards.
