The idea is you're a raw recruit trying to make through boot camp to graduation, but while this sticks broadly to the same formula as Hyper Sports and Track and Field, it doesn't have quite the same endearing qualities of those titles. Your reward for surviving basic training is being despatched on a one-man mission to rescue a hostage from an embassy during an attack by masked terrorists. This is just a dull Green Beret knock-off without the extra weapons. To be quite honest, if you're looking for an activity guaranteed to make your wrist ache, there are far better alternatives to Combat School...
