Many of the leather products on the market use a technique called "edge turning." However, in leather craft, the basic technique is to polish the edges, so it is not used very often. I think that is a real waste. If you can turn the edges, the number of works you can make will increase dramatically, and you can also make effective use of leather that cannot be polished. Despite this, the reason we don't see many works using the "edge turning" technique is probably because many people think it is difficult without a "leather skiving machine." It is true that if you have a leather skiving machine, it is easy to skive the leather before "edge turning." However, you can skive the leather for "edge turning" even without a leather skiving machine.
