For thirty years, Jean Klein taught that no meditation technique leads to one's true self, and that the entire spiritual path is a treat for the mind. Klein was a violinist and a doctor before going to India in 1959, at the age of 47. In Bangalore, he met a teacher called Panditji, who introduced him to Advaita Vedanta and the schools of Kashmiri spirituality. He returned the following year and spent the rest of his life telling people he had nothing to give them. So what did he teach? Listening. Listening with no one listening.
