BOAT SINKS at Popular Surf Break in NZ | Camping with our Newborn and Toddler in our Pop Up Camper

Skip to 9:29 for the boat sinking drama part of our camping trip! A boat drifted in to shore at Tawharanui Regional Park in NZ which is a marine reserve as its rope got caught around its rudder apparently. It then fully sunk in the surf and as the tide came in it just completely wrecked the boat. Such a crazy thing to witness. Everyone was safe and nobody hurt. Unsure what happened to the boat as we had to pack up and leave the next day. Otherwise welcome to the fun it was camping for the first time with our toddler and newborn in our epic retro pop up camper! We camped at Tawharanui campground just 1.5 hours north of Auckland and its one of our favourite DOC sites to camp at. Fun little waves (Usually...not this trip unfortunately) and just epic nature and wilderness times. It was such a special family trip for new years, one i'll remember forever. Thanks for watching!
