The action takes place on the planet Magalan, divided into four completely distinct regions. The story begins after a meteorite crashes, causing massive destruction and the mysterious element "elex," which can power the machine and grant it magical powers. The protagonist (Piranha Bytes' first non-named protagonist) is Jax, a commander of the Alb faction, who suddenly loses everything as a result of a conspiracy.
