Lets Explore Wild 'Deep Water' Acropora coral like you've never seen before !
In this video I explore rarely seen 'deep water' Acropora sp. in locations around Fiji, New Caledonia and Indonesia. The ID's are difficult for these species, geographic variation within species and environmental factors make it even harder! Happy to discuss and be wrong if anyone wants to add what they think :) Lets discuss corals cause I love it ! These species might be seen in the Aquarium Hobby, but there is little to no videos of where these corals actually come from and their habitats they live in. A lot of what is called 'deep water' Acropora isn't actually a deepwater species. A lot of smooth skin species are often classed under this. The Species in this video are Acropora granulosa Acropora caroliniana Acropora speciosa Acropora tenella Acropora russelli Seriatopora hystrix Acropora elegans Acropora subglabra Acropora longicyathus Acropora carduus Acropora jacquelineae Acropora plana Acropora paniculata Acropora lokani Acropora suharsonoi Acropora simplex Acropora divaricata Acropora loripes Anacropora matthaii Let me know if there are any coral, fish or other marine animals you want to see !
