The two perpetrators were arrested at two different locations. Chrysant, the mastermind behind the attempted kidnapping, was arrested at his residence in Jakarta on May 5. Meanwhile, Fajar, the kidnapper hired by Chrysant, was arrested at an apartment in PIK on June 8. The suspect and the victim's child, identified as CK, were known to have been in a relationship for three months. For their actions, suspects Chrysant and Fajar were charged under Articles 17 and 18 of attempted kidnapping in conjunction with Article 450 of kidnapping and/or Article 471 of assault of the Criminal Code.
