Construction of a Brush Arbor - Part 1 - Shannon County Film Digitization Project

Camera roll 001 is the first of two camera rolls (001, 002) showing the construction of a brush arbor. It was constructed by a local Pentecostal group as a place to hold their summer revival meetings. Includes shots of Beverly Roberts and Darlene Bowen, Pentecostal ministers, who also appear in camera roll 359, and as active participants in a Pentecostal brush arbor service (camera rolls 016, 020-023). Footage shot on August 17, 1978, in Winona, Shannon County, Missouri. Part of the raw footage recorded 1978-1979 for the 1981 documentary motion pictures "Shannon County: Home" and "Shannon County: Hearts of the Children."
