People are gonna hate. That's what they do. They sit around all day acting like experts on things they've never created, never built, and never had the guts to put their name on. Meanwhile, I'm just gonna keep making music. Dude thinks I'm him. Yeah, okay. Whatever that means. Half the people saying that couldn't tell you what they're even talking about if you asked them to explain it. They just repeat whatever they heard five minutes ago and pretend it's a personality. I'm not some celebrity. I'm not some industry plant. I'm not part of some secret club. I'm just a dude from Gravelston, Texas making songs and putting them out into the world. That's it. Apparently that's enough to upset people these days. What really gets me is the corporate dumbasses. Everything's a product. Everything's a brand. Everything's a marketing strategy. Nobody wants to make art anymore. Nobody wants to take risks. Everybody wants to fit inside the same little box and get a gold star for following the rules. Real music comes from real people. Real mistakes. Real frustration. Real experiences. Not boardrooms, focus groups, and people in suits pretending they understand creativity.
