Present Perfect - Part 1

In this first video of a series of 3, I'll help you understand how to use the PRESENT PERFECT in English, a verb tense that causes a lot of confusion, and how to differentiate it from the simple past. The "present perfect" of any verb is composed of two elements: the appropriate form of the auxiliary verb "to have" (in the present tense) and the "past participle" of the main verb. The "past participle" form of a regular verb includes the stem + -ed (e.g., played, arrived, looked). For irregular verbs, consult the Irregular Verbs Table in the "Verbs" section.
