Arjan Bol has been working at the intersection of payments, banking, and insurance for over 25 years. He began his career in the financial sector in the 1990s and has since held various positions at ING, Nationale-Nederlanden, Mastercard, and Aon, both in the Netherlands and internationally. For instance, he has worked in South Korea, the Philippines, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Mexico, and the United Kingdom, among other places. At Mastercard, he was initially Country Manager for the Netherlands and later internationally responsible for the commercialization of new payment platforms. Subsequently, he became Chief Commercial Officer at Aon Netherlands. Additionally, he held supervisory roles, including at bunq and CM Payments. Since April 2025, he has been Managing Director of Betaalvereniging Nederland. Arjan studied Architecture at Delft University of Technology and Business Administration at Nyenrode Business University.
