NORMANDIA - FRANÇA parte 03 DAS PRAIAS DO DIA D AO MONT SAINT MICHEL, O QUE FAZER NA NORMANDIA

@esteniomercante1 #lacambe #normandy #france #dday #montsaintmichel D-DAY BEACHES, WHAT YOU CAN'T MISS IN NORMANDY In this video we'll explore the famous little town of Saint Mère Église, made famous by the book "The Longest Day". We'll visit the German military cemetery of La Cambe. To reflect on German losses, visit this somber and thought-provoking resting place of 21,000 German soldiers. It was originally the site of one of 15 temporary American cemeteries in Normandy. Compared to the American cemetery of St. Laurent, this place is more about humility than hero worship. It's appropriately somber, with two graves per simple marker (dark and lying on the ground instead of white crosses) and dark basalt crosses in groups of five scattered around. The birth and death dates on the graves make clear the tragedy of the soldiers' short lives, given for a cause they... They couldn't understand (free, open daily). We ended up in Avranches, where there's a church that has a close connection to Mont Saint-Michel. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 00:00 Introduction 00:14 Leaving Bayeux, on the roads of Normandy 00:51 Refueling the car in France, Jour-J 01:57 Saint Mère Eglise 02:14 The Longest Day 05:05 Notre Dame de Assomption Church 05:29 The first liberated city in France 07:07 On the roads of Normandy 07:26 German Cemetery of La Cambe 09:15 French cows 10:00 Welcome to Avranches 10:12 Basilica of Saint Gervais 10:26 Saint Aubert and the Archangel Saint Michael 11:53 The charm of Avranches 12:14 General Patton Square 14:05 Avranches Castle 16:00 Mont Saint Michel ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Enjoyed it?
