Although the offering price was set at $135 per share, investors flocked in, causing the stock to begin trading at $150, 11% higher than the offering price, following its Nasdaq listing. SpaceX plans to launch a satellite to demonstrate the construction of a space data center before the end of next year and begin deploying AI computing satellites as early as 2028. Elon Musk, who founded SpaceX in 2002, has transformed the landscape of the space industry with partially reusable rockets and the satellite internet service Starlink. He became the world's first "trillionaire" following the first trade since the IPO of SpaceX, which is also pursuing the construction of a Mars colony between 2035 and 2040. Economic experts analyzed that SpaceX's inclusion in the S&P 500 is highly likely to materialize only after 2028, when the company is expected to meet the requirement of four consecutive quarters of profitability.
