How to Transit at Hong Kong International Airport T1, Chek Lap Kok - Connecting Flight Transfer

Layover at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) 0:14 - Single PNR/ Airside Transfer Usually you don't have to pass through immigration to retrieve your luggage. With an Onward Flight Boarding Pass, After arriving at Hong Kong International Airport, simply follow the directional sign guiding you to Transfer. Your passport and boarding pass will be checked. Passengers aged 11 or above holding electronic travel document can use the e-Security Gates, or proceed to the Assisted Channels. To board your onward flight, check in and obtain your boarding pass, then proceed to the Departures area. Go through security screening and follow the signs to your departure gate. If you hold a passport from a country that requires a visa to enter Hong Kong, please ensure you have obtained a visa before your trip. 3:17 - Things to do at HKIA -------------------- Free reclining seats are available near departure gates and in designated rest zones, but they do get occupied quickly. Overnight passengers often sleep on benches and the floor in the Quiet Zones. As the night progresses, the airport becomes less crowded. Lounges offer food, drinks, showers, and comfortable seating. You can access lounges by flying in premium class, having elite airline status, using lounge membership programs such as Priority Pass, DragonPass, holding certain credit cards, example Amex Platinum, Visa Infinite, or paying for entry at select lounges. The free shower facilities include a hair dryer, shampoo, and bath gel free of charge, while towels and other shower essentials can be purchased from the vending machine.
