World's QUICKEST M1 GARAND ZERO 100Y PROCEDURE
I hate the 1964 US Army manual in metric. The Garand is NOT metric. I use the WWII version of the field manual. Get on paper, get zeroed with the knobs. Then calibrate the elevation knob on the left to read 100y which is about 9 clicks up. Then center the right knob for windage. If you had to correct windage from center by 1 click left then shift the front sight 10/1000 to the right (opposite) to correct that centering with the front sight while the rear is perfectly centered. Now the indicator lines on the rear sight are centered and 100Y and the shots hit at 100Y perfectly. I also make the tip of the front sight split my hole or point of impact. Screw the 6 oclock hold which is stupid for many reasons.
