The story begins, where the Chinese dragon - a mythical creature who lives above in the clouds, involves handing the pearl over to the Snake. The pearl (shaped like a ball) contains positive energy and wisdom. It starts off with the dragon making an appearance - before passing on the actions to the Snake. In Chinese culture, dragons are a symbol of power and compassion. Performance show by the all female Gund Kwok Asian Women Lion and Dragon Dance Troupe. Who are located in Boston Chinatown USA - which is a continuation of the story from last year. Performed in front of a live sold out audience crowd at the Peabody Essex Art Museum - about a 40 minute drive from the city of Boston. Event on February 15, 2025 The music in the opening intro - is a popular traditional song during Chinese New Year, called Gong Xi Gong Xi. Rare hakka lion dance heads also present during this event.
